while working on my portfolio, i realised i had not put in much primary research, a lot of the imagery i have used for research is found. i have taken some photographs and edited them, linking them to my colour palette and theme by changing the colours and contrast. here are some of the photographs:

 the tulips in the photos below were originally red, i edited the colours to tie them in with my fairytale forest collection.

i have been experimenting with different graphic layouts to go into my portfolio. i am quite pleased with the outcomes as i think they lift my work to a new level, making it more interesting.

yesterday i went and bought loads of fashion and photography magazines to research layout and style within a publication. this was in order to develop my portfolios style. i have come up with a few new ideas from this method which are shown below. i am really trying to develop and improve my presentation style in order to look more professional. this should hopefully help me with future employers as i have not heard anything back from the examples of work i have sent out so far. i may decide to only use selected ones of these, but it is giving me chance to experiment with different styles.

i havent blogged for a while, ive been working on my dissertation (which is now finished!) so whenever ive been on my laptop, thats what ive been doing. as well as the essay, i have been developing my designs and have finally come up with a final line up, which im pretty happy with. i think the whole collection goes together and various outfits mix the look up a bit. i have also added elements like floral headbands and frilly socks to my figures as i think that carries on the look through the styling. i have experimented with print and colour on each outfit and have chosen ones that i think show a variety of different aesthetics to give my customer a range of items to choose from. i think my collection reflects my carefree customer and reflects the theme title as i feel it looks quite magical and mystical.
