as i said in my previous post, here are some designs for my 1950's americana A/W 13 collection. these designs dont include my colour, print or fabric yet as i havent decided on the final ones.

i have based my collecton around designer research around my theme and actual images from the 1950's to create these silhouettes.

 

new year, new blog

so, ive decided to create a new blog to document my third and final year of university. my first design project was for a theme entirely chosen by myself. through much deliberation, i decided on icons of the 1950's, researching the styles of Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. This was what i researched over summer, however, when i got back to uni, after several conversations with my tutor, i began to realise i didn't know what direction i wanted to go in. my theme is now '1950's americana', focusing on the styles of the late 50's, early 60's. i have began the design process and will post some of my designs in the next post :)
